Seems like they need to seismically retrofit some of those old unreiforced masonry buidings like we've done here in California.
ReplyDeleteThey have been doing it to alot of the older buildings, its compulsory if there is a change of use for the building. There's alot of old brick buildings they have been strengthened and are functioning normally - lucky, as alot of the cafes in the CBD are in old brick buildings!
