The damage caused by landslides during earthquakes

Below is the presentation file of the keynote lecture that I gave today at the Chilean Geological Congress in Santiago. I have removed a few of the figures as they have not yet been published.

You should be able to download and to view the file below:

The powerpoint file is hosted on Authorstream, which also holds many more of my presentations here:

  1. I just want to congratulate you for the exposition in the geological congress, it was by far the best one in my opinion

  2. Thank you for making your presentation available. Unfortunately, Authorstream says that "the presenter has chosen not to allow presentation downloads."

  3. By the way, I was just in the Wenchuan earthquake area 10 days ago and was absolutely stunned by how fast the vegetation has regrown. If I hadn't seen the raw landslides in 2008 I would not have believed how large they were - the regrowth made the landslides look somewhat old and healed.
